Sarah Sokal, MS, LPC

Sarah Sokal is a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing at Attento Counseling, serving Cartersville and Kennesaw.  Sarah has a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of West Georgia.  She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in crisis settings, partial hospitalization, and outpatient community mental health services.  Sarah’s recent experience includes working with adults and veterans in individual counseling in areas such as trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, adjustment issues, parenting, relationship struggles, and grief.  Sarah is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which helps people heal from symptoms and suffering left over from trauma and distressing life events.  Sarah is also a member of the EMDR International Association.  Along with EMDR, she utilizes strength-based practices and humor to build a safe, nonjudgmental, and collaborative relationship with her clients.  Sarah’s goal as a therapist is to help her clients build an assortment of coping skills and resources as well as gain relief so that they can live the life they want to. 

Sarah is available to conduct sessions in person and virtually.
