Dan Macke, MS, LPC

Life is complicated, and how we navigate these complexities significantly influences our overall contentment. While you may not be responsible for all of life’s difficulties, you hold the key to finding solutions that work for you.

My role is to assist you in identifying the root causes of your pain and developing effective coping strategies. Recognizing that each individual is unique, I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. My foundational approach is Person-Centered Rogerian, and I also integrate interventions from other therapeutic modalities as needed.

My training includes Trauma-focused CBT, Gestalt, and DBT. Beyond formal training, my understanding is enriched by a lifetime of experiences in raising a family, managing a business, and a fulfilling marriage of 45 years.

I hold a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from the University of West Georgia, which included an independent study focused on Human Sexuality, its variations, and treatment. I am also a Certified Trauma Professional.

Furthermore, as a mental health professional, I am committed to serving underserved populations. I have obtained the FarmResponse Certification to expand access to virtual mental health services for rural farmers and ranchers in Georgia. This certification has equipped me with knowledge of the unique challenges they face in maintaining food supply, as well as the impact of climate and regulatory changes.
