Dan Macke, MS, LPC

Life is complicated. How we deal with these complications will determine the level of contentment one will have.  You may not be the cause of all that troubles you, but you are the only one who can come up with solutions for these problems that will work for you.

My job is to help you discover what is the reason for you pain and help you deal with the causes. Because each person is unique, there are no cookie cutter solutions. I am from the Person-Centered Rogerian camp, but will use interventions from other therapy beliefs that may work better in a particular situation.

I have been trained in Trauma-focused CBT, Gestalt, and DBT. What really helps me be a good therapist is a lifetime of experience raising a family, running a business, and a marriage that is still going strong after 45 years.

I have earned a Masters degree in Professional Counseling from the University of West Georgia, that included an independent study in Human Sexuality, deviations and treatment. I am Also a Certified Trauma Professional.
