Anna Mistretta, MS, NCC, LPC, CPCS, CCTP-II

A part of you wants to reach out for support and a part of you doesn’t. This is totally understandable because finding the “right fit” with a therapist in this day and age seems like more work then you have time for, and can also be anxiety provoking. Often times making a human connection can be challenging especially with a therapist. I firmly believe that the therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone to any therapy work. I promise you that I am committed to work hard at establishing that relationship. It will not be a one sided conversation. I value empathy, compassion, honesty, transparency, and authenticity which you will receive from me in each session. You will never be talking to a brick wall nor will I ever dominate the conversation. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process where I come alongside where you are. I can’t tell you what to do with your life/body but I can listen, empathize, and use techniques to get you moving towards your goals.

Are you feeling anxious, angry, depressed, grief, controlled by addictions, or trauma? Are you struggling with quality of life, bad relationships or feel that somethings isn’t quite right? Maybe you are not even sure what I can help you with. Our lives are too short to be held back by such barriers. I would be honored to walk with you during these times. I want you to be free from emotional pain as much as possible, be able to find relief, enjoy your family/friends/relationships, and find meaning or purpose in all aspects of your life. You are beautifully unique and capable of discovering the strength that lies within. I would never promise a “quick fix” and I am also deeply committed to be here as a guide for you.

During my 8+ years as a therapist, I have had the privilege to walk alongside many individuals, couples, and families during difficult times to find some peace and understanding in many different situations. I have worked extensively with mental health, dual diagnosis, trauma, and addictions. In addition to working with clients, I am a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor so I can assist therapists in training. I have sought out opportunities to better myself so I can better serve my clients. I have found throughout my career that we all share as many similarities as differences and no matter what path you are on now, you deserve to live a happy and satisfying life.
