Stacey Yates, LMSW

I’m really glad you’re here! I work with Attento Counseling, supporting adults as they navigate stress, life transitions, relationships, and the everyday weight that can feel hard to carry alone, the quiet weight that often goes unseen.

Receiving my Bachelor of Social Work degree from Middle Tennessee State University, Master and Education Specialist degrees from Tennessee Technological University, and Master of Social Work from Tennessee State University has allowed my over 20 years of mental health experience to believe that healing is not one-size-fits-all. True transformation happens when people are met where they are — with their full story, their culture, their pain, and their power. My work is built on the principle that every person deserves a therapeutic space that reflects their world, speaks to their experience, and trusts in their capacity to heal.

I believe therapy should be a calm, supportive space where you can show up exactly as you are—no judgment, no pressure, and no need to have everything figured out. Just a place where you can slow down, be heard, and be supported yourself to begin to sort through what’s on your mind. I create a safe space for you to have just room to be honest, to exhale, and to sort through what you’ve been carrying. This is an opportunity to process what’s going so that you don’t lose yourself and an opportunity for you to define yourself, especially when life gets heavy.

Whether you’re trying to navigate life through depression, anxiety, life transitions, self advocacy, burnout,  women’s issues, trauma, cultural differences or challenges, it’s time to talk about it and I’m here with you.
