Justus Bowland-Gleason, APC

I’m Justus Bowland Gleason, MS, APC, CRC, NCC. I am a therapist with a background in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling, and I have experience working in residential treatment, community mental health, and private practice settings. My work has included supporting individuals navigating complex mental health challenges, life transitions, and building the skills needed for greater independence and long-term success.

In today’s climate, many individuals can find themselves struggling with stress, feeling emotionally overwhelmed, or experiencing a sense of disconnection. You may notice patterns of overthinking, difficulty regulating emotions, or feeling stuck during transitional periods (ie. graduating, career change, close death, etc).

I work with adolescents (15+) and adults who are seeking greater clarity/awareness, emotional balance, and a strong sense of self in their lives. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, or exploring aspects of your identity, therapy can be a space to better understand how your mind works and how to move forward in a way that feels aligned and sustainable.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and insight-driven, while also incorporating practical tools that support real-life change. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT-informed techniques, Narrative Therapy, and person-centered approaches to help clients build emotional regulation skills, increase self-awareness, and develop patterns that support their goals.

With a background in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling, I also bring a functional perspective to therapy, helping clients not only process their experiences, but apply what they learn in meaningful, everyday ways. Together, we can explore both the internal and external systems impacting your life while creating strategies that support growth, independence, and long-term success.

I believe that you are born whole, perfect, and complete. Therapy is not about fixing you, it is about learning how to tap into what is already there and build on it.
