Taylor Clapp, LPC

Often, people don’t seek help when they are struggling due to the stigma related to mental illness and therapy. I strive to make the therapeutic environment as comfortable as possible and build a positive therapeutic relationship where you feel safe to discuss what you are struggling with. I encourage you to take those next steps to work on yourself and grow. My passion is helping those who struggle with substance use/abuse, low self-esteem, codependency, and ADHD. I also love working with teens and helping them navigate through the chaotic parts of their lives.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, International Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and a Medication Assisted Treatment Specialist with a master’s in Psychology from Brenau University. I pull from a humanistic/person centered approach while incorporating reality therapy and social learning theory to best help my clients. I tailor the treatment approach to meet what each client needs to succeed. I also utilize humor to make a nonjudgmental and comfortable space to be vulnerable and honest. I specialize in helping those struggling with addiction or those who have been affected by it, depression, anxiety, self confidence, self-harm, and chronic suicidal thoughts as well as the teenage population and the many struggles that come along with being a teenager.
